We are very excited to announce the 2nd Annual UWWG (Unschoolers Winter Waterpark Gathering) will be held again at the amazing Kalahari Indoor Waterpark Resort & Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio Feb 2-6, 2009.

Imagine getting away from the cold, dark, short days of winter and entering into a  world filled with thrilling water slides and coasters, relaxing hot tubs and plenty of fellow unschoolers and life learning homeschoolers.

The waterpark includes everything from a  kiddie pool, river rides,   wave pools for surfing and boogie boarding, to giant water slides and thrilling water coasters. There is even a large kiddie play area for our littlest unschoolers.

The Kalahari has bragging rights to being the largest indoor waterpark in America! As if being a premier waterpark resort wasn't enough.  It is also Ohio's largest hotel with 884 rooms and Ohio's largest private convention center!! Kalahari boasts four restaurants, a night club, a full service spa, gift shops, a large game room, putt-putt, bowling, and more.

The UWWG has exclusive use of their Executive Conference rooms and Grand Ballroom, where lots of funshops and over a dozen talks / discussions will be held.  Add in  a Winter Carnival, talent shows, scavenger hunt, movie nights plus an unforgettable night of dancing in their Grand Ballroom, and you have a week that can’t be missed!!
